LOOKBOOK: Michael Bastian x Barney's SS12

American designer Michael Bastian is busier than ever. Aside from his eponymous collection, New York-born Bastian already has a collaboration with Swedish retailer Gant. For SS12, Bastian teamed up with Barney's, a high-end department store, to create an 11-look collection of menswear staples. The designer's aesthetic (modern takes on classics with a dash or two of panache) was a perfect match for what Barney's intended the collection to be, youthful and relevant without being dowdy. The designer's goal was to create a capsule collection that could be indiscernible from his own collection. The collaboration with Barney's was so in-tune with his own aesthetic that a suit from the Barneys collection was shown on the runway as a Michael Bastian look during the Spring/Summer 2012 show last September (seen on Claudio Monteiro). Much like Gant by Michael Bastian, this collaboration with Barney's is a multi-season collaboration.

For the lookbook below, Matt Albiani captures Eduardo Ramos in the 11 looks that showcases the collaboration collection full of well tailored suits and other ready-to-wear pieces.
